We Need To Talk About Race - Ben Lindsay

This was a timely read and very important to read. I think it's important book for churches in the UK to read at this time, giving a good understanding into understanding the black experience in many white majority churches. A few stand out quotes:

'If we are going to serve people well, we need to connect scripture, their history and the story of the Church together in ways that are open about our failures, express context as well as regret, and honour Jesus.'

'Jesus always brought people from the outskirts into the centre and showed them the greatest honour. These ordinary people, through the Spirit of Jesus, ended up changing the culture around them.'
